WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a flexible artist to join our team in Eugene, OR. As an artist at First Foundry, you’ll be working closely with senior artists and designers to produce finished work ranging from UI mockups and usability refinements to icon and illustration design. You will also work directly with software engineers to create modern and streamlined user experiences. We are looking for an artist who’s capable of working in a variety of styles and juggling assignments across multiple products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work with an agile team, collaborating closely with developers, designers, and other artists to create intuitive user experiences.
Create and improve wireframes, templates, and style guides for web, mobile, and hybrid software products.
Review, critique, and improve on project designs during development, and live applications in production.
Stay up-to-date on design trends in web and mobile applications, including style, UI/UX, and accessibility best practices.
Openness, positivity, a drive to learn new skills, and an ability to work effectively as part of a fast-moving, deadline-driven team.
Skill in communicating design feedback to other team members as well as updating stakeholders on estimates.
Demonstrated experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Ability to understand design requirements in order to create intuitive and clean UI/UX.
Knowledge and skill in interpreting usability test feedback and creating appropriate actionable changes.

Experience in the full suite of Adobe products.
Experience in Sketch, Affinity Designer, Invision, or other UI design tools.
A technical background or demonstrated experience working closely with technical teams.
Interest and ability to create cohesive graphical branding for companies and products.
Skill in illustration, icon design, and web development.
This is an on-site position as either a part-time or full-time contractor or employee in our Eugene, Oregon office. Eugene has a young, progressive college town culture and community with big-city tech industry.
